2022 PNAM SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES
PNAM is happy and proud to announce the recipients of the 2022 PNAM Scholarship Award!
The awards will be presented during the PNAM 50th Anniversary Gala on October 8, 2022 at Somerset Inn, Troy, MI. Congratulations to our awardees and we wish you all the best in your pursuit of education and excellence in nursing!
EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Purpose: To provide scholarships to students with Filipino heritage currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program.
Criteria:
must be of Filipino Heritage
must be a resident of Michigan
must be enrolled in an accredited Nursing or Graduate Nursing Program
must possess a current grade point average of at least 3.0 or B or better.
must provide evidence of school and community involvement
Applicant should submit the following documents directly to PNAM:
Education Scholarship Application Form
Most current official Transcript of Records as proof of current academic standing and GPA
One letter of recommendation from the student’s nursing professor or teacher.
A written composition of at least 300 words on “Why I want to become a nurse or pursue an advanced degree in Nursing?”

RESEARCH GRANT AWARD
Purpose: To support research studies and evidence-based practice (EBP) or quality improvement (QI) projects.
Funding Information and Eligibility Criteria
One $1,000 grant is available. The grant will support either a research study, EBP/QI project, including doctoral dissertation.
The primary applicant who will hold responsibility and accountability for the grant must be a current PNAM member.
Priority will be given to applicants whose research or EBP/QI foci areas include one of the following: advocacy, patient safety, global health, climate change, environmental health, self-management of chronic illness, health concerns among foreign nurses in the United States, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in health care.
